No matter how you’ve chosen to reach your target (be it through a traditional print ad or a cutting-edge Microsite), one thing is certain: to get noticed, your message needs to be both arresting and memorable.
And that means your message can’t be boring.
And that means your message can’t be annoying.
And that means your message can’t be desperate.
And while the power of emerging media is undeniable, it simply can not compensate for a weak message. Bad creative is media-neutral: a lame video beamed onto on a cell phone screen today is just as shameful as a banal TV ad blasted onto on a black and white Magnavox TV forty years ago.
